About this test
The surround test sends audio to individual output channels: front left and right, centre, subwoofer (LFE), side and rear speakers. It shows how many channels your browser can reach and helps you check that each speaker is wired to the right output and placed in the right position.
How to use this test
- Set your system audio output to 5.1 or 7.1.
- Choose the matching layout and click each speaker.
- Use Play all channels to walk through the layout in order.
Frequently asked questions
Why do I only hear the front speakers?
Your system output is set to stereo, or the browser only exposes two channels. Change the speaker configuration in sound settings.
Why is the subwoofer quiet?
The LFE test uses a 50 Hz tone. Check the crossover and subwoofer level on your receiver.
